About

Hello, my name is Kanna. In some places I am known as K.N. or kannazuki. In any instance – “The New Eccentric Girl” is a blog in which I write (well, what else do you blog for?) about the music that interests me. While not strictly about the musical merits of songs, sometimes I’ll look at performance, production tidbits and how much wtf directors can fit in a music video.

Though the music featured here is primarily Japanese, I’d like to think that I’d talk about any music that I find to be interesting – no matter where it came from. This will explain my fascination with Eurovision, but my abhorrence for shows like Britain’s Got Talent and American Idol.

The title “Thew New Eccentric Girl” comes from the song “New Eccentric Girl” by ravex featuring Chisa from the Japanese pop-rock band Girl Next Door. It’s a little hint on how my music tastes are a little off the wall for most people and as a result, it can be a little dizzying. You know, it’s completely tectonic, platonic and plastic emotion. But hey, it’s all fun.

If you feel like you need to contact me, please feel free to leave a comment in one of the entries or on this particular page. I might not always respond, but I’ll read everything that gets posted here.
